CROCKPOT BBQ CHICKEN

1 large whole chicken (uncooked)
1 large bottle BBQ sauce
1 medium onion
1 lemon
1 (10 oz.) coke

Place chicken in crockpot.  Pour the sauce over the chicken.  Slice the 
onion and lemon and put in crockpot; pour the coke in the crockpot.  Set 
on low and cook overnight.  This can be done with spare ribs too!

Ingredients:

3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
3 Tbsp. honey
1-1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 bottle (18 oz.) KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up (3 to 3-1/2 lb.)
 
Preparation:
------------
STIR cocoa, honey and chili powder into barbecue sauce in small bowl.
 
POUR sauce over chicken in 13x9-inch baking dish.
 
BAKE at 350 Degrees F, uncovered for 1 hour or until cooked through.
 

Barbecued Chicken Pizza


2 tsp vegetable oil 

8 oz boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips 

1½ cups thinly sliced red or yellow onion, separated into rings 

1/3 cup barbecue sauce 

1 (12") prepared pizza crust or Italian bread shell 

Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken and 
onion rings; cook 3 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Add 
barbecue sauce; simmer 1 minute or until chicken is cooked 
thoroughly. Place pizza crust on a foil-lined baking sheet; top with 
chicken mixture and cheese. Bake in preheated 425º oven for 12 
minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Cut into 
wedges. Makes 4 servings.  

Army Barbequed Chicken

This is a crowd recipe, it will have to be scaled down

Ingredients:
50 pounds chicken -- cut-up
1-1/2 quarts dry onions -- finely chopped
16 ounces butter or margarine -- melted
1 quart vinegar
3 quarts water
2 cups Worcestershire sauce
3 quarts ketchup
3/4 cup prepared mustard
3 cups brown sugar
6 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:
Step 1: Wash chicken thoroughly under cold running water. 
Drain well. Place in containers, cover; set aside for 
use in Step 7. 

Step 2: Sauté onions in 8 oz (1 cup) butter or margarine until tender. 

Step 3: Add vinegar, water, Worcestershire sauce, catsup, mustard, 
brown sugar, salt, and pepper to sautéed onions. 

Step 4: Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 

Step 5: Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes or until well blended. 

Step 6: Stir in remaining butter or margarine. 

Step 7: Pour sauce over chicken; cover; refrigerate 2 hours to marinade. 

Step 8: Drain chicken; reserve marinade for use in Step 10. 

Step 9: Place chicken, skin side up, on lightly greased pans. 

Step 10: Bake 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender; baste with marinade 
2 or 3 times during baking period. 

(Note: Chicken should be cooked for at least 20 minutes after final basting.) 

Asian Barbecue Chicken Recipe

     1/4           cup  hoisin sauce
     1/4           cup  honey
     1/4           cup  reduced sodium soy sauce
  2        tablespoons  orange juice
  4                     garlic cloves -- minced
  2        tablespoons  chopped green onions
  1           teaspoon  grated fresh ginger
     1/8      teaspoon  cayenne pepper
  3             pounds  bone-in skinless chicken thinghs (about 8)
                        sliced green onions -- for garnish

In bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, orange juice, garlic
green onions, ginger and cayenne pepper.  Pour into resealable bag, add
chicken, turn to coat, and marinate 1 to 2 hours in refrigerator.

 Remove chicken.  Boil marinade in small pan 2 minutes.  Arrange thighs on
rack of broiler pan coated with vegetable oil spray.  Place rack on foil
lined broiler pan; place pan on oven shelf on medium position.  Broil about
15 minutes; turn and broil 10 minutes more basting occasionally with
marinade until thighs are done, taking care not to burn.  Garnish with green
onions and serve.
